We’re looking for a compassionate and motivated Behavioral Support Technician to join our team in providing 24-hour therapeutic care for Residents with complex behavioral and mental health needs. In this role, you'll work side-by-side with a dedicated multidisciplinary team to support Residents on their journey toward greater stability, independence, and inclusion in the community.

Job Summary:
As a Behavioral Support Technician in our specialized Intense Behavioral Home, you'll implement and adhere to structured behavioral plans, guidelines and interventions for the Residents. You’ll play a vital role in creating a safe, respectful, and empowering environment for our Residents, all while embracing American Training’s award-winning culture of dignity, respect, and WOW! Magic.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Follow a designated protocol for health and physician’s orders and Applied Behavioral Analysis based plans and practices.
  • Responsible to track, document and summarize progress of plans to achieve Resident’s goals and specific intensive and targeted behavioral plans
  • Oversee daily data collection on all Residents, including multiple data fields on behavioral interventions, goal attainment and relevant medical issues.
  • Use appropriate, approved behavioral and physical management techniques to ensure safety of Colleagues and Residents in a variety of settings.

Qualifications:
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree REQUIRED.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience working with individuals with behavioral and/or clinical challenges.
  • PABC training to be completed by 30 days of hire.
  • First Aid/CPR required.
  • MAP training and course completion within 3 months of hire.
  • Ability to work 3-11 and overnight shifts.  Must include one weekend day.
